Sean Crawford talks with Tim Landis, Business Editor of the State Journal-Register.
This week:
* Two-way traffic downtown - Springfield Mayor Jim Langfelder dropped the idea during his State of Downtown address, but it won't be easy. And it would be expensive. He has mostly Adams, Washington, Fifth and Fourth in mind; other streets likely too busy.
* Winter farmers market: First for Springfield this Saturday at Presbyterian Church in Enos Park; fourth Saturday of each month through April; kind of a trial run to see how response is.
* Walgreens on Ninth: Closing Feb. 21. Company says it was a victim of a periodic review to see which stores were performing best.
* 3 a.m. bars: After some high profile rowdiness at some downtown establishments, Downtown Springfield Inc. has a plan to get a handle on the situation.
