Sean Crawford talks with Tim Landis, Business Editor for the State Journal-Register:

This week:

* Warehouse lease - Former Barney's Furniture building has a new owner who is leasing space to the state.  The agreement has been controversial and lawmakers are questioning why the state leased new space when it already has facilities.

* Springfield casino - Chances don't look good this session for a downtown casino, but the idea got the endorsement of the Springfield Black Chamber of Commerce. The developer behind the effort has indicated he'll keep pushing for the future,.

* Population - 2016 census estimate show Springfield-Sangamon County fell below 2010 levels.  The same trend shows up statewide and across the Midwest.

* IMAX screen - Has been added at ShowPlace 12, on the west side of Springfield.  It opened Saturday and AMC has hinted more could be added in the market.  A note that shows on the IMAX screen tend to have higher ticket prices.
