* Downtown pop ups: About a half dozen "pop up" businesses are part of the annual Holidays Walks with the idea of filling in that "vacant look," and maybe getting some long-term tenants. At least one, Vintage Springfield, has decided to stay in the old Bridge Jewelers building by signing a two-year lease.
* Robert's Seafood: 100-year-old family business on Jefferson Street plans to double space with a new building that should be completed by end of next year. It would double the workforce of six. There are plans to ask for city enterprise zone breaks.
