NPR Illinois' Sean Crawford talks with Tim Landis, Business Editor for the State Journal-Register:

This week, they talk about...

* Springfield's Downtown Tax Increment Financing District - The city is seeking legislative approval for a 12 year extension.

* CWLP late payments -  The State of Illinois is considering a rules change that would pay municipal utilities 1 percent interest per month for bills that go unpaid for 90 days; CWLP would be among the biggest beneficiaries.

* Radio Shack - The store in the Town & Country Shopping Center has closed. That leaves the city with one in Sangamon Center North.
