Amid Pandemic And Wildfires, Western Cities Struggle To Shelter Residents From Smoke

Record wildfires are raging across the West, blanketing cities with smoke. Because of the pandemic, that smoke is even more dangerous to public health than it usually is.

But this year, also because of the pandemic, cities aren’t as prepared or able to help residents shelter from the smoke.
