Sean Crawford talks with the SJ-R's Tim Landis.

* Hotel occupancy: At a four year low in Springfield and hoteliers blame loss of state business; resulting in reduced staff hours for folks who can afford it the least.

* Pillsbury Mills cleanup: U.S. EPA open house later this month on $1.8 million cleanup expected to take about five months.

* The Limited: One of the original stores at White Oaks Mall in 1977 has closed; that chain has gone out of business.

* Rochester TIF: Public hearing Jan. 30 on first-ever TIF district for the village of 3,700; planning to use the money for roads, residential-commercial and, hopefully, a grocery.
