Capital Area Concert Band 50th Anniversary Concert

Capital Area Concert Band 50th Anniversary Concert

You’re invited to enjoy an evening of music and celebration during the 50th anniversary concert of the Capital Area Concert Band at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.

Capital Area Concert Band Interim Conductor Andy VanDeVoort has pulled out all the stops with a program that celebrates the band, the band’s history, and our nation. The performance will include some of the band’s favorite music by their favorite composers. Featured selections will be conducted by some of the band’s founding members. Plus, the band will highlight music honoring our nation and its veterans as we celebrate Flag Day.

The 50th anniversary concert of the Capital Area Concert Band will take place on Friday evening, June 14, 2024, in the ALPLM Union Theater. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. This is a free performance for the entire community to enjoy, but advance registration is required.
