Dr. Vidya Sundareshan is the Chief of Infectious Diseases at SIU School of Medicine. Before pursuing a career in the medical field, she studied music and dance in India. She spoke to Community Voices about her career path, her role in Sangamon County’s pandemic response and how she made Springfield her home.
