Time Stands Still debuted in 2009 and was written by Donald Margulies - it centers on the relationship of two journalists who have covered a modern war.

The character Sarah is back home grappling with wounds from a roadside bomb. Her boyfriend James had left the war-zone before her injury and is left grappling with the guilt. "If you're interested in something that's compelling and thought-provoking, then this is for you," says actor Mary Young who plays Sarah. The play also has moments of levity. Young, Johnny Molson and Anna McFarland joined us to talk more about it. The playopens Friday at the Hoogland Center for the Arts in Springfield and runs through the following weekend.

From HCFTA.org: "HCFTA presents "Time Stands Still," follows Sarah and James, a photojournalist and a foreign correspondent. Sarah returns to her Brooklyn loft after being injured by a roadside bomb while working in Iraq. She is tended to in her recovery by her longtime boyfriend James, also a journalist, who feels guilty for having left the war zone, and Sarah’s side, after suffering a breakdown induced by the trauma of covering relentless combat. Join us on Thursday October 12 at 7:30 p.m. for a "Pay What You Can" night. The first 100 people to attend the Thursday October 12 performance of "Time Stands Still" can pay any amount (non-refundable) with either cash or check as they enter the theatre."
