State Week: Pritzker Transition, $15 Minimum Wage, Illinois Bicentennial

Gov.-elect J.B. Pritzker announced his ninth and tenth transition committees this week, including one on business issues and economic development. He also reiterated his committment to raising Illinois' hourly minimum wage to $15.

Meanwhile, Gov. Bruce Rauner says he's working cooperatively with the Pritzker team to ensure a smooth transition of power — and contrasts that with what he says was a less-than-acommodating handoff from his predecessor.

Beyond that: Illinois turned 200, Pritzker's victory set another record, and we remember veteran Statehouse newsman Burnell Heinecke.
