This week, we also speak with Jenna McNair, a central Illinois native who now lives in Missouri. She has a series of oil paintings called 'Struggles' that takes on issues like addiction in a comical way. Check out her work here, and see it in real life at the Highland 'Art In The Park' festival this weekend. (Highland, Illinois is about 40 minutes east of St. Louis.)
As you'll hear, there are other shows in Springfield taking place in the coming days, which include the much recommended DEMO Project performance/exhibit by the always edgy and provocative artistic duo known as Industry of the Ordinary. They will be presenting a 'Prayer for Springfield.' Friday night's event is complete with a free HOG ROAST (what!?) so we've been told to come hungry. More info here.
