The Scene With Guest Host Scott Richardson Of The Legacy Theatre

Rachel Otwell/WUIS

It's time to learn about what's the haps. This week, we get to know a local fixture in the Springfield scene. Scott Richardson heads the Legacy Theatre- a building that has had many incarnations and could have dilapidated into the ether if not for Scott. Now it's one of Springfield's most eclectic venues. He talks the 2016 season with Rachel and (other) Scott.

Events discussed this week include:

  • Two art shows this weekend: An opening with photography called "Shifting Sands" has an opening Friday night. Info here. The Prairie Art Alliance hosts an opening for an exhibit by local artists at the Hoogland on Saturday night. Info here.
  • Saturday there will be a 'Battle of the Bands' at Cafe Brio featuring The Avant National Guard (TANG). Info here.
  • The Springfield Art Association's film series kicks off this weekend. (We got excited and said it started last weekend. Apologies!) Info here.
