Sandro Garcia interviews Isaac Edwards.

Hello, I’m Sandro Garcia for the 2018 NPR Illinois PodCamp.

While most musicians aim to be local stars, Springfield, Illinois resident, Isaac Edwards, has other goals. He does not really want to pursue fame, but wants to teach other people.

Everyone has quirky sides, especially musicians.Usually local musicians in Springfield are appreciated by a lot of people, and Isaac really doesn’t play in a band, but he might have taught some of your favorite Springfield artists. And while some musicians might hate some of the current, controversial  rap artists such as Lil Pump, Lil Xan, and the recently killed XXXTentacion, Isaac has a different point of view.

Isaac loves music, and aims to teach people things like piano, drums, and even bass, so we have more musicians in town. He describes himself as a patient individual, and started music when he was eight years old. His mom and his dad used to sing, and he picked it up around the age of five. He wants to make sure everyone else has the same bond to music as he does.

This has been Sandro Garcia for the 2018 NPR Illinois PodCamp.
